I am running again!
In 2006 we ran an outstanding grassroots campaign for Indiana's 9th
District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and were
enthusiastically supported by many of you. We appreciated your support
then and ask for your support for a victory in 2008.
My campaign is about putting people first. It's about returning our
government to the people. I am committed to making the 9th District an
even better place to live. Our economy faces many serious challenges: loss
of jobs to outsourcing overseas, massive home foreclosures, and mounting
personal and national debt. Our nation's infrastructure is in disrepair
and literally falling apart. Despite this all this President can do is
veto children's health insurance programs and keep us in the unending,
immoral war in Iraq.
The Democratic Congress we elected in 2006 has not had the fortitude or
courage to stand up to the president. I do have that courage; and the
fortitude. I vow without hesitation to protect all the rights guaranteed
to us by the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States.
When elected to Congress I pledge to support:
· The complete, prompt and safe withdrawal of U.S. military forces from Iraq
· Civil liberties, equal rights and justice for all
· Single payer universal health care
· Jobs for American workers that provide, at minimum, a living wage
· Affordable, quality education for all
· Strong environmental protection, renewable energy and ending dependence
on oil
· Protection of the election process to ensure fair elections and campaign
finance reform.
The outcome of the 2008 elections will be a pivotal moment in our nation's
history. I am a true-blue, progressive Democrat and would love your help!
