Donna Schroeder
Donna Schroeder is seeking re-election to the District 2 seat of the Dubois County Council in the Nov. 2 general election. A Democrat, she doesn’t have opposition in the May primary.
Schroeder, 63, is a member of the Association of Indiana Counties and is active in the Dubois County Democratic Central Committee politics. She is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and celebrated 25 years with Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She is a volunteer at Jasper City Mill.
She has served on the executive board of the Dubois County Area Development Corp. and on the Dubois County Comprehensive Steering Committee. Since 2005 she has been a board member of the Dubois County Transportation Advisory Committee, which oversees the Ride Solutions program.
She and her husband, Jim, live on Cottonwood Lane in Jasper. They are the parents of Kim Evan, co=owner of Stack Material Handling, Kevin, a residential coordinator for Southern Hills Counseling Center; Kurt, manager of respiratory care and electroencephalogram at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Cincinnati; and Keith, a sales representative at Meyer Distributing. They have eight grandchildren, one of whom is deceased.
Schroeder is the daughter of Hilda Pfister and the late Don Pfister.
