Gail Gramelspacher
Gail Gramelspacher has announced her candidacy for the office of Dubois County Assessor. She is running for her second term.
She is a Level III Certified Assessor/Appraiser. She is a member of the Association of Indiana County Assessors and serves on its Board of Directors. She is president of the Southwest District of County Assessors and is a member of the Association of Indiana Counties and the International Association of Assessing Officers and its Indiana Chapter. She was named the Southwest Indiana District Assessor of the Year for 2010.
A lifelong resident of Jasper, Gail, 60 is married to Jerry Gramelspacher. They are the parents of two children, Christina (Mrs. Andy) Gubbins of Jasper and Michael Gramelspacher who lives with his wife Addie in Greenfield, Illinois. They have four grandchildren.
The candidate is the daughter of the late Pat and Mil Gootee. She has one sister, Gwen Mehringer of Ireland and two brothers, George of Jasper and Greg of New Jersey.
She is a graduate of Jasper High School and Indiana State University and is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella, the St. Anne’s Society, the Redevelop Old Jasper Action Coalition, the Dubois County Museum and the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
